An 0-3 day in home run props on Monday put an end to our scorching hot streak, but that won't stop us from trying to start a new one. Let's get back on track with three more home run bets for Tuesday's MLB slate.
Braves at Cubs, 7:40 p.m. ET
Wind alert! Tuesday night's matchup between the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs could turn into a home run derby due to the 20-mph wind blowing out to left-center field with gusts up to 35 mph. That's why the total for this game is all the way up to 11. Let's ride Ronald Acuna, who's been uncharacteristically quiet in the power department this year but still has a 50.8 percent hard hit rate and an 8.2 percent barrel rate. If there's ever a time for Acuna to snap out of his home run funk, it's Tuesday night.
Tigers at Royals, 7:40 p.m. ET
Braves-Cubs isn't the only game on the slate with hitter-friendly weather conditions. Also in the Midwest, Tuesday night's game between the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals will have even stronger winds blowing out to right-center field. With so many chances for fly balls to soar over the fence, let's get aggressive with the longest shot on the board. Maikel Garcia still ranks second on the Royals this season in home runs (five) and RBIs (31), so he shouldn't be priced all the way up at 12-1 with such strong, helping wins projected at Kauffman Stadium.
Angels at Astros, 8:10 p.m. ET
Our first two bets were weather-related, so let's try out a different handicap for our third and final selection. Alex Bregman has hit three of his four home runs this season in the last 15 days, and he has a .519 slugging percentage in that span. In 12 career plate appearances against Los Angeles Angels starter Griffin Canning, Bregman is batting .600 and slugging .900 with a home run. This is a great matchup for him to stay hot.
